Set in 1975 during the final days of the American occupation of Saigon, Miss Saigon is an epic love story about the relationship between an American GI and a young Vietnamese woman. Kim is working in a sleazy Saigon nightclub owned by a notorious wheeler-dealer known as The Engineer. John, an American GI, buys his friend Chris the services of Kim for the night. That night will change their lives forever.
Nominated for Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, and Best Original Score at the 1991 Tony Awards, Miss Saigon is regarded as Michel Schönberg and Alain Boublil's second major success, following Les Misérables.
Presented by Marie Clark Musical Theatre, this is Adelaide's non-professional theatre premiere of Miss Saigon. With a cast full of talent, and a set design which is ready to bring the house down, this is one show not to be missed!
