Dedicated to classic rock, Sketchy Black Dog plays unique spins of Bowie, Zeppelin, Hendrix, and more. This piano trio takes timeless rock songs and originals to places both irreverent and fragile. Sketchy Black Dog is the brainchild of pianist Misha Piatigorsky, and drummer Chris Wabich. Wabich lives in Los Angeles, where he has worked with the Zappa family, Sting, Stanley Jordan, Leonard Cohen and Ludacris. Russian-born and NY based Piatigorsky is the winner of the Thelonious Monk Composers Competition, is music director for jazz legend Mark Murphy and has appeared with Wynton Marsalis, Claudio Roditi and Michael Brecker.
