Mini Camp 2 - Wilderness Survival August 18, 2010

This is a 2 and a half day exploration with 1st day, August 18th, from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. and August 19-20th, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Hone your survival skills as you spend time aboard the historic Half Shell buy boat and learn the skills necessary to navigate the boat, cook a fish, and filter water. Identity aquatic plants and animals in the Potomac River that could aid your survival and test your canoeing skills. On land, try your hand at building a shelter and a raft, and explore the woods of Leesylvania State Park on hiking explorations. Register by August 13th. This is for ages 8-11 years old and the cost is $150 per child.
