Miller Outdoor Theatre invites you to a collection of spoken word, visual art and jazz musical performances featuring the Blew Notes Trio and renowned poet and spoken word artist, Abiodun Oyewole. Oyewole, considered one of the greatest names in poetry circles through the U.S. and abroad, is currently on tour in the U.S. and will travel to Houston from Portland, Oregon’s Shakespeare Festival. He recently completed a tour of Europe and Mexico, performing and presenting lectures on poetry and politics.
Approximately 1,700 new seats have just been installed under the canopy. All performances at Miller Outdoor Theatre are free of charge; however, tickets for assigned seating under the canopy are available at the Miller Theatre Box Office on a first-come first-serve basis between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the day of the performance. Please, only four tickets per person. Remaining tickets are given out one hour before the performance starts.
