Millefleurs Tapestries in the Medieval Halls March 29, 2007

In this exhibit, the many 'millefleurs' tapestries woven in the 15th and early 16th centuries display a multitude of flowering plants. The identification of the flowers characteristic of these tapestries reveals their significance in medieval life, literature and art.
