Mill City Live Concert: The Owls June 5, 2008

The series kicks off June 5 with a performance by indie-pop quartet The Owls. The Owls are Allison LaBonne (the Legendary Jim Ruiz Group), her husband Brian Tighe (of Hang Ups fame), singer-songwriter Maria May, and drummer John Jerry (Ashtray Hearts). Three of the four members share songwriting and singing duties, and all of them play several instruments. They have two CDs 2003’s "Our Hopes and Dreams," and 2007’s "Daughters and Suns," In January the band was named one of City Pages’ 2007 Artists of the Year.
