Military Park: The Town Common March 13, 2007

Take a short walk through Newark's Military Park, founded with the city in 1666, and trace its development as a public place through three and a half centuries. Learn about such landmarks as the Wars of America monument and Trinity Cathedral. See historic photos of the park and surrounding neighborhood.

Tours meet in the lobby of the New Jersey Historical Society. No reservations are required. Tours will run rain or shine. Tours are free but donations are accepted.
