Perhaps you have a loved one who is serving our country, in harm’s way, overseas. You know the knot in your stomach each day as you wait for news. Maybe you’ve “been there”, or can just imagine what it is like - and want to help.
We are parishioners starting a Support Group for those, like you, who want to let our Troops know how much we appreciate their service and want our service men and women’s families know they are not alone in this Journey. Working together, we will gain comfort in knowing that there are others on the same Journey. We can gain strength from one another.
We invite all, young adults and up, to our first meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 11th (Veterans Day) at 7:30pm to 9:00pm, in Cana West at St. Mary Immaculate Parish.
This first meeting will begin with a short prayer, followed by discussion of what our ministry can be or what we can do for each other. Next, there will be a short prayer service honoring our veterans, then end with coffee and cookies". If available, bring a photo of your Military person with contact information.
If you have a family member or friend serving in the military overseas, please contact us so that our faith community may keep them in our prayers.
