Military Ministry at St. Mary Immaculate March 18, 2010

Perhaps you have a loved one who is serving our country, in harm’s way, overseas. You know the knot in your stomach each day as you wait for news. Maybe you’ve “been there”, or can just imagine what it is like - and want to help.

Our Ministry goal is to provide spiritual support to our military families, while developing and participating in events within the community to confirm our commitment to our military and letting them know we have not forgotten them.

If this sounds like something you would have an interest in or know someone who would benefit from this ministry, we would welcome the opportunity of meeting you at our next meeting on Thursday, March 18th at 7:30pm to 9:00pm, in the Faith Sharing Room at St. Mary Immaculate Parish, 15629 South Rt. 59 in Plainfield.

We will discuss what our ministry can be and what we can do for each other, finalize monthly meetings plans, and discuss how to generate more involvement in and from the community.

If available, bring a photo of your Military person with contact information. We hope to display their photo in the Commons and ask our faith community to keep them in our prayers.
