Virginia City is hosting a FREE Christmas party for all kids aged 18 and under who has a military parent or parents deployed overseas! The party takes place upstairs in the Delta Saloon Banquet Room, which is in the center of town along "C" St. There'll be holiday treats, hot chocolate, decorations, fun, music, and a special performance of the Charles Dickens classic, "A Christmas Carol" at 12:30. Afterwards, Santa Claus himself will make an appearance and hand out gifts to all the kids. Kids attending the party will also receive a yellow ribbon to wear in honor of their parent who's serving our country. This ribbon will entitle the child to a free ride aboard any one of the 3 V&T Railroad's "Christmas Elves Train O' Lights" runs on Sat. Dec. 19th that runs from Virginia City to Gold Hill and back! Parents must accompany all children at the party and you must RSVP to Sunny at (775) 220-0505 or write to her at sunny1860s@yahoo.com. A free bus will leave the Summit Sierra Mall parking lot (next to Tequila Beach restaurant) at 11AM sharp and take partygoers to and from the party.
