3rd Annual Mile High Amazing Race in Denver

Get ready for the most AMAZING RACE for Life! Many have seen the television show; now here’s a chance to race in your own adventure! The 3rd Annual Mile High Amazing race to Benefit The Leukemia, Lymphoma’s Society is a one-day event that will be on Saturday, May 16, 2009 in Downtown Denver.

The Mile High Amazing Race is similar to the television show; teams will be challenged to complete checkpoint challenges, detours and roadblocks along the way. Successful teams must carefully plot the most efficient route after they gather pertinent information. The first team to cross the finish line doesn’t necessarily guarantee a win. Teams may choose to shave their heads with some local celebs or they may have to create a new flavor of ice cream in honor of their patient hero’s, how about locating a certain Pedi cab to collect your next clue? Kayaking down the Platte River? Mental challenges? Strategy challenges? Who knows? We’re not telling, and there’s only one way to find out! Yes, participants can count on some physical challenges, but don’t think for a second that a team of brawny guys will have the advantages! We’ll make you think, unravel puzzles, strategize, and work as a team …we’re not going to give it all away, but we guarantee that you’ll have a blast and that you WILL be challenged!

Combined prize packages are worth over $5,000. In addition to prizes during the event for teams including gift certificates to local restaurants, airlines tickets, comedy works and so much more. This year our end of race ceremony includes entertainment and food from Jimmy Johns, Pepsi, Flying Dog Ale and Margie and Luke from the Amazing Race TV show will be participating.
