Mike Watt + the missingmen
Michael David Watt is a singer-songwriter and bass guitarist, best-known for co-founding the punk rock bands The Minutemen and fIREHOSE; as of 2003, he is also the bassist for the reunited Iggy Pop & The Stooges. He is also a member of the art rock/jazz/punk/improv group Banyan.
Though Watt has not had much mainstream success or visibility, he is often cited as a key figure in the development of American alternative rock; The Red Hot Chili Peppers dedicated their hugely successful Blood Sugar Sex Magik to Watt. Throughout his career he has been known for his inventive, melodic playing; his basslines are often quite distinctive.

Estrogen Highs
Emulating the same punk rock DIY attitude and sloppy lo-fi records that helped shaped their youth, New Haven's the Estrogen Highs crank out blown-out catchy garage rock. After a series of killer singles and full lengths on Telephone Explosion, Deadbeat, Never Heard of It and the tastily titled Milk n' Herpes Records, the boys deliver their special dose of jangley controlled chaos to the Cycles EP for Safety Meeting. Taking nods from such bands as the Wipers, the Nuggets, and the Gories, they bring a "less is more" aesthetic to their song writing, hammering out infectious riffs with intense sloppy precision. Their music is honest, loud, and completely intoxicating, burrowing into the brain like a parasite.

Electric Bucket
Punk/noise/garage rock band from Milford, CT. The quartet features 3/4 of New Haven's infamous Carlos Projeckt with lead vocalist/wildcat Steph Brown! The bucket's unique sound features barbarian spazz drums, fuzzed-out psycho bass lines, bird warrior guitar attacks and girl-on-guy screaming!

Nope, tickets will be on sale from the 10th of July. They tend to sell out in a couple of days, so make sure you set yourself a reminder :-)
Dear Andy
Could I please have a d.Construct ticket as a birthday present then?

What a cool site!
Why announce a time when tickets would go on sale if the infrastructure can't cope with the load? I lost count of the error messages I saw. Not a great user experience. Geez.
paolability, you're right: we should have kept the time a secret and let people guess when the tickets would go on sale. That would have been a great user experience. As you say, Geez.
It was a bit like trying to get Glasto tickets. An error message on a pay-by-credit-card page is not hugely great. Still, it worked in the end.
P.S Facebook event page at http://uclac.facebook.com/event.php?eid=2546131356 (who needs Upcoming when you have the One Social Network to Rule Them All).
I never would have seen it on facespace. ;)
I'm looking for a spare ticket for dConstruct... Is there anyone who has a ticket but cannot now go?
