Miguel Zenón is the most celebrated alto saxophonist of his generation. A multi Grammy nominee and Guggenheim and MacArthur “Genius” Fellow, he has developed a unique voice as a composer and conceptualist, mixing Latin American folkloric music and jazz.
He performs in concert with the UIC Faculty Combo and UIC Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Andy Baker.
