Miguel Zenón brings his quartet to Yoshi’s for one night only in support of his just-released CD Awake (Marsalis Music). The 31-year-old Puerto Rican-born alto saxophonist/composer has been among the most ubiquitous, productive, and inspiring players to emerge in recent years, having forged important collaborations with David Sanchez, Charlie Haden, Danilo Perez, Jason Lindner, and the SFJAZZ Jazz Collective, of which he has been a member since 2004. Performing with Zenón at Yoshi’s will be his longtime pianist Luis Perdomo, bassist Hans Glawischnig, and drummer Henry Cole.
