Celebrating its 10th anniversary, MIFB 2009 will present ten F&B trade focused communities while incorporating the importance of food machineries, packaging and solutions under the flagship of “Food Futures”.

Alongside these targeted focuses, MIFB 2009 continues to stay relevant and current through a broad presentation of F & B business activities which includes complimentary 1-to-1 business matching sessions, forums, competitions and the 5th Malaysia International Agro-Bio Business Conference 2009 with a special focus on World Food Shortage – Series II that provides an avenue for businessmen and aspiring entrepreneurs to understand the depth of this current issue and source commercially viable solutions in enhancing and expanding their businesses. Malaysia’s Proposition: • Great potential with a population of 27.17 million • An import and export food bill of RM31.3 billion and RM2.5 billion respectively • The Malaysia’s Agriculture and Agro-based Industry has been earmarked to be a major source of economic growth with focuses on increasing food production, improving food quality, enhancing the value chain, cultivating high value added agricultural activities as well as opening up opportunities to generate income and wealth • The Northern Corridor Economic Region is envisioned to become the Modern Food Zone for Malaysia as demand of food continues to grow in tandem with the population
