The Midnight Winds is a new and exciting LA-based woodwind quintet. Their diverse performances include countless premieres and community outreach programs. The year 2008 marked the ensemble’s first international tour where they presented concerts and workshops throughout Poland. In California, they have been featured guest artists at the Paderewski Festival in Paso Robles, California Institute of the Arts, LACMA Sundays Live, and in Arizona, they were quintet-in-residence for Chamber Music Sedona.

The concert features music ranging from the 18th century music of the great Austrian composer Franz Joseph Haydn to the early 20th century music of Danish composer Carl Nielson, and includes “Five Miniatures for Woodwind Quintet” by La Canada Presbyterian Church’s Director of Music & Worship Arts, Jack Lantz.

An Ovations Concert Event. Tickets available through the church office or at the door.
