Midnight Folklore: Boo City "Mix-Tape" release & Holiday party December 16, 2011

"Boo City is having a party to rock your socks off the mantle this holiday season! We are very excited to be releasing our first full length recorded effort, a mix-tape entitled Midnight Folklore . This compilation of music will feature previously unreleased music as well as a fresh spin on some old favorites. Midnight Folklore is an extravaganza of guest production, musicians and singers paired with the sultry, pounding beats you’ve grown to expect from Boo City. To reflect this fun recording at the event, we’re bringing along some incredibly talented friends too! Joining us are The Famous Winters, by far one of the best live bands Providence has to offer. As well, with the infamous DJ Nook’s turntable magic we are in for an incredible night. Because we’re in the holiday spirit we’ve also invited some super special guests. If you want to find out who they are, we will just have to see you there! Tai Awolaju and Andrew Moon Bain are going to open up the evening with a very soulful acoustic music set. DJ sets by Nook as well as live performances by The Famous Winters, Boo City, and super special guests.
