Details:
1.00pm-3.00pm - The Dorman Museum will have military history related materials on display which are normally in storage including interactive materials which can be handled such as an Air Raid Warden's Tin Hat, Gas Masks and Ration Booklets. The Jewish Ex-Servicemans Banner of the Middlesbrough and Stockton Branch will be on display. This was previously on display in the synagogue and given as a gift to the Dorman Museum. Ministry of Defense Publications related to WWII will be made available for the public.
1.00pm-2.30pm - Card-Making Workshop for Kids - Create a card that will be sent to the troops. Plus additional activities for kids.
2.30pm-3.00pm - Jonathan Swingler of BBC Tees will give a presentation about his experiences visiting troops in Afghanistan followed by a Q and A session.
3.00pm-4.00pm - Ian Stubbs, Assistant Curator of the Dorman Museum will lead a walk of military heritage related sites in adjacent Albert Park which are a part of the Military Heritage Trail of Middlesbrough that will be launched on this day by Middlesbrough's tourism dept.
