Mid-Autumn Chinese Festival September 22, 2007

Join in to celebrate a popular Asian celebration of abundance and togetherness dating back over 3,000 years. At this time, the moon is at its fullest and brightest, marking an ideal time for an evening celebration featuring food, music and bonsai/penjing demonstrations. Celebrated collector, author and authority on Chinese stones, Kemin Hu, will be the keynote speaker. Her talk will cover the collection and appreciation of scholar rocks, the classification and evaluation of these rocks and their traditions of display.
