Drawing influence from prolific songwriters Joni Mitchell, Nina Simone, Jill Scott, Bjork, and Portishead, Brooklyn based singer/ songwriter/composer Michelle Amador has created more than 100 works to date. In 2006/2007 she recorded with UK producer Zed Bias and separately with German electronic group Karma to produce electronic/pop single releases featured on Gilles Peterson's Weekly World 60, PopMatters, and DJ playlists worldwide.
