Michael Giancristiano's recent body of work leads the viewer on a personal journey into the desert to confront issues of emptiness and paralyzing indecision resulting from traumatic experiences. It deals with profound loss, the inability to cope and the courage to press on regardless.
Giancristiano's main medium is plywood - an exciting medium to work with because it is quite literally, a slice of life; a glimpse inside of a beautiful tree. The artist feels in many ways his works are a collaboration with a tree. He sculpts and paints the piece, transforming it in the direction that he want it to go, while allowing the wood to go in its natural direction.

James P. Scott presents his latest oil paintings featuring modern colorful urban landscapes. His work examines what it is to live, work and navigate a large city like Los Angeles. By disregarding elements such as traffic congestion, people, and pollution, the artist focuses instead on other familiar and everyday elements, such as street signs and palm trees. He turn these common urban elements into features that require the viewers’ acknowledgment of their hidden beauty lost in the urban environment. Scott uses explosive, vibrant and bold colors in these compositions and utilizes photography and digital tools in the creation of his work.
