I've been struggling to become a musician since the age of 9 and have just recently become aware of who and where I am musically in my 40s. I've played publically since the age of 13 when I first stepped in fear onto the stage of the Hartwick Coffee House in Oneota, NY playing guitar and singing back-up for my older brother in 1974. Attending high school in Central New York was my first exposure to playing in a band and my first experience with writing songs and playing them for others. After performing as a solo musician throughout college in Flagstaff, AZ in the early 1980s and Austin, TX later that decade, I moved to Boston in 1988, got a real job, married, had two children, and went back to school. Needless to say, I got away from music for a while. After finishing school in 2001, I returned to playing, writing, and recording and decided that I would finally devote as much time and energy to my music as I did to the other important things in my life. Thank you for listening...
