The Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce presents its latest Business Empowerment Networking Series (BENS) installment, “Development & Expansion of the Small Business: Forecast Your Future.”, to be held at Jungle Island, 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail, on Friday November 12th, 2010 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30p.m. This networking series will feature thorough presentations by distinguished experts on effectively managing any businesses through the ambitious plan of expansion. Panelists will also discuss the legal, financial and personnel issues companies’ encounter when expanding.
The luncheon will feature keynote speaker, Fenorris Pearson, CEO of Global Consumer Innovation & Corporate Influencer. GCI is an innovation company specializing in equipping investors with the information they need to make better decisions on entrepreneurial products, services and inventions. This unique tool also helps entrepreneurs analyze business concepts by providing a funding readiness score. In addition, Pearson is a published author. His first book, “How to Play the Game at the Top,” has hit the Amazon.com best seller list in the business motivation category numerous times and is available across the country.
BENS panelists include Irvin Daphins, Esq, is a Senior Partner with the Law Offices of Irvin Daphnis, P.A. and is a general practitioner practicing; Wrongful Death, Personal Injury, Criminal and Immigration Law, and Civil Litigation. Garrie Harris, founder, managing owner and President of Alpha 1 Staffing/Search Firms. She oversees daily operations for two locations in Miami-Dade and Broward County. Her role also includes sales and new business development, customer services and the development of bids/RFP. Alpha 1 provides highly qualified workers on temporary, temp-to-hire and direct hires, contracts. Additionally, Alpha 1 Staffing provides a wide range of other staffing services. Kellian McDonald is the Marketing and PR Manager for commercial real estate dvisory firm, Terranova Corporation. With a portfolio currently valued just over $1 billion and providing a full spectrum of commercial real estate services, Terranova has been a leader in the real estate industry. Lastly John Nix is the Senior Engineer for FPL, the nation’s fourth largest investor owned electric utility, in its Miami office. As a technical consultant, Nix has assisted many FPL commercial customers reduce their electric cost. His expertise is in commercial building energy management. And his specialty is in air- conditioning energy management.

The Business Empowerment Networking Series is open to the public and is $10.00 for chamber members and $15.00 for non-members. Exhibition space for your business is also available for $30.00 for members and $40.00 for non-members; however, space is limited.
