Metro Mambo: Tito Puente: The Definitive Celebration April 20, 2013

Hosted by Jim Byers (WPFW 89.3 FM's Latin Flavor), Metro Mambo kicks off its season of Latin-music events on the anniversary of Puente's birth (b. April 20, 1923) with an intimate retrospective of the legendary Tito Puente! Among the special guests sharing personal insights, un-released recordings, and rare memorabilia are selected former Puente band members, as well as Puente's archivist, biographer (Mambo Diablo), and best friend of over 40 years, Joe Conzo. During the second hour, enjoy a Dance Party featuring one of the region's top bands.
