1AM is proud to present “METALMORPHOSIS”, a collaborative exhibition featuring new works by Bay Area artists, Mark Bode and Metal Man Ed. The two artists have come together to create a whimsical world of Bode characters along with abstract sculptures through large-scale metal installations. Promising to offer a truly unique experience, viewers will be transported to another dimension.

As part of the exhibit, Mark and Ed have teamed up to “bring to life” the comic strip characters made famous by Mark’s late father, Vaughn Bode in the 1960’s and 70’s. Together, they have hand picked over 50 different Bode comic images to create life-sized pieces painted and fabricated on aluminum. “This is the coolest thing to happen with my dad’s work since he passed away”, says Mark.

Ed’s pieces are rugged and raw encompassing several different genres of art. He’s bringing the show into a new realm with his metal work and life-sized scale that will not only capture the eye but also be a throwback to years past.
