Messages with a Code: Photography/Mixed media Iinstallations by Kathy Lovas July 10, 2010

The show opens with an Artists' Reception from 12-5pm, Saturday, July 10, 2010. The show includes “The Search for Allen Gray,” a series about Kathy’s search to know her father, from photographs of him as a child and a young man. By converting the photographs to embroidered drawings, she makes them “more concrete, metaphorically attempting to bring this person back to life.

Also showing: Etchings and watercolors by Kyle Hobratschk, an exciting new talent from the Meadows School of Art at SMU.
