ROCK HALL PRESENTS SUMMER FILM SERIES FEATURING THE FILMS OF MURRAY LERNER

June 18, 6:30 pm: Murray Lerner will be at the Rock Hall for a brief interview prior to the screening of his newest documentary The Other Side of the Mirror: Bob Dylan Live at the Newport Folk Festival. The movie will be followed by a Q&A session with Lerner and an autograph signing session.

July 16, 7 pm: A screening of Festival!, a cinematic synthesis of four Newport Folk Festivals that depicts the crucial years of transition for the art of folk music. Performers range from folk legends such as Joan Baez and Peter, Paul, and Mary to country artists like Johnny Cash and the blues folk sounds of Son House and Mississippi John Hurt.

August 20, 7 pm: A screening of Message to Love: The Isle of Wight Festival. This feature film documents one of the most significant events in rock and roll history. Two hours of footage highlights legendary performances by the Who, Joan Baez, Miles Davis, Joni Mitchell, Free, the Moody Blues, Ten Years After, and Jethro Tull as well as the last stage performance of Jim Morrison with the Doors, and by Jimi Hendrix - 18 days before his death.
