Meshell Ndegeocello Live Concert! March 7, 2008

Meshell Ndegeocello is a highly regarded and accomplished bass player, songwriter, and bandleader. She has recorded eight studio albums and earned ten Grammy nominations. Very funky and textural music melded with sung and spoken lyrics generally characterize Meshell's complex style. Meshell has worked with a plethora of the finest voices in music today. She had a hit with, strangely enough, John Cougar Mellencamp. She was originally signed as one of the ifrst artists on Madonna's label Maverick Records. She often plays large venues so this show at the intimate Apache Cafe is a treat to get up close to this one-of-a-kind artist.
