Walk right up and shake hands with history. During the last week of March each year, the Merryville Museum Grounds transform into the Merryville Heritage Festival. Friday's activities begin at noon. Food and craft vendors will be on hand. Performances will include a talent show, gospel music by Bridge, MHS Band & Dance Line and MHS Honor Choir. The evening will conclude with music by Red Saltzman & the Ramblin Cajuns. Saturday is packed with all day family fun. Parade at 10am will start on N. Bryan street. The 6Th annual Chili Cook -Off, Pie Eating Contest,Heritage demonstrations, Merryville's own "No Man's Land Gang" and Native American cultural dance demonstration by the Atakapa Ishak Indian Nation. We are excited to have The All American Lumberjack Show & Kids Lumberjack Sports Camp. Mr. Keagan LeJeune, author of "Always for the Underdog" will be located inside the Museum
presenting a slide show on the history of Merryville. Live music includes: The Southern Plainsmen Quartet, Beauregard Courtesy and award winning Geno Delafose & French Rokin' Boogie!
