ZHUZHU™ PETS HAMSTERS STAR AT THE “WINNER-FEST” DECEMBER 19
If you would like to win ZhuZhu™ hamsters and help prevent child abuse in Indian River County at the same time, enter the Merry Christmas “Winner-Fest” Raffle to be held Saturday, December 19, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at the 6th Annual Winterfest at Pointe West, 1999 Pointe West Drive, Vero Beach. According to Bill Depp and Brian Curley, the chairs of the Raffle committee, you could win Chunk, PipSqueak, Squiggles, and NumNums, the hottest, hard-to-find toys of this year’s holiday season.
The Raffle’s grand prize is a Nintendo Wii™ Console System Bundle complete with Sports Games, Fit Plus with Balance Board, Sport 9 Game Package, and a Guitar Hero 5 Guitar Kit. Other exciting prizes include an Apple 8GB iPod Nano ®, two Nintendo DSi™ systems, bikes, a battery-operated riding toy, a LeapFrog Leapster® Learning Game System, and oversized stuffed animals. There is even a special raffle surprise for Mom and Dad. The suggested donation is one dollar per chance.
The Winner-Fest Raffle will be held at the Fire & Ice WinterFest, a winter wonderland of 25 tons of snow sponsored by the Indian River County Recreation Department and Pointe West. Come out to enjoy the giant Snow Slide, Bunny Slope, and Penguin Pond ice skating rink complete with skates and enter the drawing for the season’s most-wanted toys. The winning tickets will be drawn at 5:00 pm in the entertainment pavilion, shortly before the grand finale fireworks display.
No purchase is necessary. The winner does not have to be present to win.
Special guests include the Charter High School Jazz Band and Santa Claus. Santa’s Fun Zone features inflatable fun, face painting, sand art, a petting zoo, and pony rides.
Proceeds of the Raffle benefit the Exchange Club of Indian River Foundation’s local charities for the prevention of child abuse. The Foundation’s other fundraisers include the Annual Exchange Club Blue Water Open Charity Fishing Tournament held each May since 1977 and other special events. This year’s Blue Water Open will be held Saturday, May 22.
The Foundation is affiliated with Exchange Club of Indian River. Club members meet for lunch and an interesting speaker every Wednesday at Culinary Capers, 737 22nd Street, Vero Beach.
