Back by Popular Demand! The longest running show in St. Louis is making a return visit. Inspired by a hot flash and a bottle of wine, "Menopause The Musical" will return to The Playhouse at Westport Plaza March 5 - May 8, 2010. The entire cast is local to St. Louis and are all reprising their roles from St. Louis' first run. Billed as "The Hilarious Celebration of Women and The Change," the original off-Broadway musical begins with four women, "Professional Woman," "Soap Star," "Iowan Houswife," and "Earth Mother," at a Bloomingdale's lingerie sale with nothing in common but a black lace bra and hot flashes, night sweats, memory loss, chocolate binges, not enough sex,too much sex and day-to-day challenges with aging parents, aging children and aging partners. A bond is created between these diverse women as they realie that menopause is no longer "The Silent Passage"! The women share their ups and downs through a collection of songs from the 60's, 70's and 80's.
