Paul Dolan along with Tom, Tim, and Tommy Thornhill Jr. have come together to create Mendocino Wine Company, which acquired Parducci Wine Cellars and is developing several new brands and wines. "Businesses should run in a broad-based, sustainable context," says Paul. "We know what elements make a sustainable business work, and we plan to integrate those into our small, family partnership at the Mendocino Wine Company."
As a fourth generation winemaker (descended from both Concannon and Italian Swiss Colony winemaking families), Paul and his children are working to build business and environmental sustainability for future generations, and are active participants and contributors in their communities.
The Thornhills own and operate La Ribera Vineyards in southern Mendocino County, and are strong advocates of sustainable farming practices. La Ribera was one of the first vineyards on the river to be awarded the "Fish Friendly Farming" certification.
Tom Thornhill, says, "We believe that the best way to build a long term winery business is to apply a philosophy of quality, creativity and sustainability broadly across all aspects our business, beginning with our farming practices and wine making and extending right through to the recyclable materials in our packaging."
We are pleased to welcome Rick Hartwigsen of Mendocino Wine Company to present a sampling of the company’s vision: sustainable practices that yield top quality grapes and wines while protecting the environment and supporting local communities and farmers. We have paired these wines with a great menu from Grovewood’s award-winning kitchen.
All wines will be available to add to your collection at State Minimum Retail Pricing, with case discounts available.
