The Blushin’ Roulettes will be performing for the Mendocino Stories and Music Series on Friday, November 25. The vibrant folksy twang gang will lighten up the stage starting at 7:30PM at the Mendocino Hotel. They play old-time tunes with a modern undercurrent centered around the lyrics of award-winning songwriter Angie Rose Heimann.
Angie sings the stories of damsels in their bliss and distress in a unique vibrato often likened to Iris Dement and Dolly Parton. The quirky stage presence and loving interplay among band members reflects the small-town closeness of the rotating cast of characters. They are Buddy Stubbs on gritty lead guitar, Cas Sochacki on dobro and salty baritone duets and Jubal Stedman on brushed drums.
All Ages Welcome! Doors open at 6:30 PM for bistro menu and drinks. We expect a good turnout, so come early for best seating. Sliding scale $10 – $15 at the door. Call Pattie at 937-1732 or www.mendocinostories.com/events.html
