Mendocino Stories and Music Series "Singer/songwriters-in-the-round" November 18, 2011

Four singer/songwriters will be featured in the Mendocino Stories and Music Series event on Friday, November 18. Lenny Laks, Nancyjoy Evans, Danny Barca, and Rose Knight will perform in-the-round, a casual, intimate format where the audience surrounds the musicians. Showtime is at 7:30PM at the Hill House of Mendocino.

Lenny Laks has been playing on the Coast since the 70’s. He is a rare breed – a bassist who sings. The unique voice of Nancyjoy is a nod to big hearts, shooting stars and wanderlust but her feet are rooted in traditional Americana. Her recent travels have allowed her to learn from some of the greats in New Orleans, Austin, the UK, and beyond. Danny Barca’s true passion is writing and performing all original songs. His songs reflect his wide musical background, and speak of the beauty of the human spirit. Rose Knight started out singing in Los Angeles at the age of five and has continued to perform on stages from L.A. to Nashville and Austin.
