Mendocino Stories and Music Series "Shades of Gray" November 16, 2012

Mendocino Stories and Music Series will feature “music lounge noir” with Shades of Gray on Friday, November 16. They are a trio of Sharon Garner on vocal, John Bush on bass and vocal, and Billy Schieve on piano and vocal.  Showtime is 7:30PM at the Mendocino Hotel.

“Shades of Gray” has been presenting music on the Mendocino Coast for the past five years, ever since John Bush added his talents to Billy and Sharon who performed as a duet for the previous 12 years.  Their music specializes in a variety of material spanning years and styles, with emphasis on well-written songs with depth and intricacy, melodies and harmonies, in the jazz, soul, blues, pop, R&B, and gospel traditions...hence the descriptive "lounge noir".  Their repertoire includes standards, covers, and their own original songs.
