For the first night of the “Mendocino All-Star Music Weekend” on Friday, May 25, Mendocino Stories and Music Series will feature the swampy blues and funky grooves of Blue Dudes Band. They deliver tasty guitar licks, fat bass lines, soulful harp, and deep groove drums to make their music irresistible and delectable. Music starts at 8PM at the Hill House of Mendocino.
Entertaining you with their own magical personality is bass player Nat Montoya, guitar player David Jonason, keyboard player Doug Smith and drummer Claudia Paige. Says Nat, “We’re creative types - and this band is yet another extension of our expression. We’ve all played music for many years, and this experience brings very inviting music.”
The Blue Dudes Band have just released their second CD 'Home To You', a mix of covers and originals and is getting rave reviews and being played locally on the radio. The Band has an all instrumental sizzling and soulful approach to Rock, mostly entertaining with cover songs; songs you will recognize and have always loved adding an original magical twist. So get your dancing shoes out of the closet and bring them along. http://bluedudesband.com/Welcome.html
