Mendocino Stories and Music Series "Gwyneth + Monko" and "The Blushin' Roulettes" November 23, 2012

Continuing with a Thanksgiving weekend tradition, Mendocino Stories and Music Series presents Gwyneth + Monko and The Blushin’ Roulettes. Music starts at 7:30PM at the Mendocino Hotel.

Monko said the first time he heard Gwyneth sing, he knew she was special. “I could only dream of playing with such talent.” Rooted deep in the American Tradition, their musical style is built on a foundation of old-time blues, pop, and true American country. Says producer Pattie DeMatteo, “She sings like and angel and he plays like the devil!”

With the stories of damsels in their bliss and distress, Angela Rose Heimann sings in a unique vibrato. Accompanied by the boys in the band - Buddy Stubbs on gritty lead guitar, Cas Sochacki on dobro and salty baritone duets, and Jubal Stedman on brushed drums - their quirky stage presence and loving interplay reflects a small-town closeness.
