The Mendocino Stories and Music Series will present Dan Newton, aka “Daddy Squeeze”, on Saturday, January 26 at the Hill House of Mendocino. "Daddy Squeeze" has been playing offbeat accordion music since 1987. Music starts at 7:30PM.
"Music out of context", or "Ethno-clectic Bop" is the result of Dan Newton’s genre-bending experiments with Celtic, Tex-Mex, Creole, Blues, Jazz, Scandinavian, Polka and pop music. He also enjoys mixing up styles and genres that don't generally seem compatible. Dan will be joined by a host of local musicians including Peter Barg and Frannie Leopold for a set of mixed dances after the concert. Bring your dancing shoes for a one-time only event.
All Ages Welcome! Doors open at 6PM for dinner and full bar. Special reserved table seating for $20, General admission $12 in advance, $15 at the door. Tickets available by calling Pattie at 937-1732. Tickets available by calling Pattie at 937-1732. www.mendocinostories.com/events.html
