On Friday, January 28 Mendocino Stories & Music Series will feature singer/songwriter Marcus McCallen with bassist John Bush. Rosy Nolan will open the show at 7:30PM. Be prepared for some soulful vocal and guitar work at the Mendocino Hotel.

Marcus McCallen has been an integral part of the Northern California music scene for over twenty years. A versatile singer and accomplished guitarist, he has shared the stage with Van Morrison, Jessie Colin Young, Chris Isaak, Jerry Jeff Walker, and many others. He is currently working on his next CD of all original material.

A veteran of the Mendocino Coast Music Scene for over thirty years, John Bush is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and audio engineer. Focusing primarily on bass these days John currently works with Marcus, Morgan Daniel, and Lenny Laks. He continues to work with local Jazz and blues bands.

California native Rosy Nolan has just returned to her mother country after an eight-year run in New York City.  Her latest recording, "Black Out Nights", was self-released September 7th 2010.  Nolan's soulful vocal style harkens back to great blues and country singers while barreling full speed through a gritty spectrum of confessional hymns and folk-tinged melodies.

All Ages Welcome! Doors open at 6:30 PM for bistro menu and drinks. Sliding scale $10-15. For more information call Pattie at 937-1732 or
