Men Making a Difference in the Lives of Children Spring Conference 2009 May 29, 2009

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all well both in spirits and health. The Parent Advisory Council presents Men Making a difference in the Lives of Children Spring Conference 2009. Keynote Speaker (Congressman Danny K. Davis), presenters and workshops ( Marcus Jones). Together we can make a difference. It's time to stop the nonsense and ignorance, be apart of History in the making.

Our Mission

We believe every child must have a positive and constructive male figure they can count on.
We believe that having males in the schools will
empower men and families to provide a more secure environment
for their children
We believe children thrive when they have an involved male figure
who loves them, knows them, guides them, and most importantly
loves them unconditionally.
We believe that the best way to assist families to
achieve positive outcomes for their children is to ensure active
involvement with both
mother and father at home and at school.

Vision

To have more male volunteers actively involved with the
Chicago Public School System
To improve the ability of men as caregiver; and giving them opportunities to engage in the academic enhancement of their children’s lives.

Goals

To increase and provide a strong male presence in the
Chicago Public School System
To provide resources and workshops for males in the
North Lawndale Community
To advocate for Father’s Rights within the Chicago School System
To assist Incarcerated Fathers with children
To establish collaborations with federal, city, and local agencies
within the community
