Memphis in May Sunset Symphony May 23, 2009

Enjoy an entire day of family entertainment on the banks of the Mississippi River. Spread out a blanket, bring the lawn chairs and pack a picnic for this all day family reunion! The day starts with local performers, plus a spectacular air show from the Commemorative Air Force, As the sun sets, the stage is set for the smooth sounds of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra performing a traditional and beloved program. As a special treat for 2009, enjoy a performance by Three Dog Night, the award winning group whose hits include 'One,' 'Mama Told Me (Not to Come)' and 'Joy to the World.' As the sun goes down, the skies light up with a spectacular fireworks show orchestrated in part with the Symphony performance.
