A New Orleans cab driver who gave it up to pursue the blues, Mem Shannon coaxes a variety of textures from his guitar. He moves from lyrical and jazzy to delicate Latin-tinged acoustic colorings and full blown funk workouts. Born in Mississippi and raised in Memphis, guitarist Linsey Alexander has been perfecting the art of the blues for nearly fifty years. Alexander has played with B.B.King, Bobby Rush, Buddy Guy, Little Milton, Magic Slim Johnnie Taylor, A.C.Reed and other great blues performers.
