Acclaimed Canadian jazz vocalist Melissa Stylianou recently recorded her fourth album, which includes material by Paul Simon, Jerome Kern, James Taylor, Joanna Newsom, Vince Mendoza, Edgar Meyer, along with select originals. Until the album’s release later this year, Stylianou will perform a monthly show in Manhattan starting with this February 16 gig at 55 Bar. Joining her will be Stylianou’s regular trio: Pete McCann (guitar), Gary Wang (bass), and Rodney Green (drums).
