Canadian artist Melanie Perreault was first inspired by a brilliant cherry-red classroom door in her kindergarten class. Perreault has carried that red with her, touching it to other surfaces, and, in her imagination, coloring other objects. She is part of a five-artist group show opening at New York’s AC Institute on November 15.
