Dublin-born singer-songwriter Melanie O'Reilly leads listeners on a "Celtic-jazz" journey as she explores a unique soundscape that fuses the lyricism of Irish music and poetry with the improvisation of American jazz. Backing Melanie tonight are some very special guests, including John R. Burr (piano), Fred Randolph (bass), Rebecca Kleinman (flute), percussionist Ian Dogole, Darcy Noonan on fiddle.

The Contra Costa Times praised Melanie’s "gorgeous sound," and The Rough Guide to Irish Music called her creations "spellbinding . . . uplifting music from a true innovator."

Named "The Royal Voice" by the French press, Melanie has performed at festivals and venues worldwide, from Lincoln Center Outdoors, the Edinburgh International Festival, and the London-Irish Arts Festival to the National Concert Hall in Dublin and Chalons -en-Champagne in France. She is also a regular presenter for RTE Radio 1, Ireland's national broadcasting station, with her award-winning show Jazz on the Bay and, more recently, Foxrock Folk Club.
