Winner of 19 Australian Awards for creative acheivement in and around her highly aclaimed band Fruit, including 8 awards for 'Most Outstanding Instrumentalist'.
Mel Watson continues to "push her edges" and evolve as an artist.
Not only does she play and record in the highly successful independent band Fruit, but she also performs in a solo capacity, breaking musical ground and creating new music that crosses genre's, and unites new ideas with her outstanding ability.
Having recorded over 14 studio albums, with countless International tours and musical projects such as composing and performing in theatre, and for television. "Mel Watson is an amazing musical talent....."Mel has supported artists including Michael Franti, Bruce Cockburn and The Neville Brothers and has written hundreds of songs, with her breathtaking vocal range and clarity, innovative guitar work, with trumpet, saxophone, tenor horn, flute, amongst others at her disposal.
She is a multi- instrumentalist like no other.
