Returning to AMT for this star-studded triple bill, is country Legend Mel Tillis. Mel has stuttered his way into the hearts of country fans since the early 50s, but his vocal style is nothing but smooth. Not only does Mel sing his own songs hits like I Believe in You, but his work has also been covered by the likes of Stonewall Jackson, Little Jimmy Dickens, Bobby Bare, Ricky Skaggs, and Ray Price, to name a few. Mel adds movie star to his list of credits, appearing in such films as Every Which Way But Loose, Smokey and the Bandit, and Cannonball Run. Mel has won awards for penning one of the most famous country hits of all time fro Kenny Rogers: Ruby, Dont Take your Love to Town.Joining Mel Tillis and John Anderson is the Urban Cowboy himself, Mickey Gilley. In the early 80s, Gilleys, Mickey Gilleys famous night club helped to launch the Urban Cowboy craze.
