Organist Melvin Rhyne was a pillar of the jazz guitar/organ trio scene in the 1960's, helping to define that genre along with guitar legend Wes Montgomery. Now an elder statesman who moves freely between the blues, bebop and original compositions, Rhyne has lost none of his passion for the aggressively distinctive sound of the organ guitar pairing.
