Meijer Sponsors Fireworks At Naperville’s Ribfest July 4, 2009

As the sky comes alive this summer, area residents get excited about the most magnificent firework display in the suburbs of Chicago. Title sponsor Meijer, the original one-stop-shopping center, will present the annual fireworks display at Naperville’s annual Ribfest celebration on Saturday, July 4th, beginning at 9:30 p.m. For the last nine years, Ribfest was voted the “The Best Fest in the Midwest,” attracting nearly 250,000 people each year who come to enjoy the food and live music. Fireworks prime viewing will take place at Knoch Park located on West St. in Naperville, IL.

The annual Naperville Ribfest is presented beginning Thursday, July 2nd and continuing through Sunday, July 5th from noon to 10 p.m. Activities for the kids include a petting zoo, electronic bull riding, climbing wall, inflatables, hands-on tent, circus education, face painting and many more. Adults feel free to enjoy live music from up and coming local bands as well as established performers Heart, Sarah Evans, Todd Rundgren, Huey Lewis and the News.

Admission for the event is $10 per person with children 11 and under admitted free. Discounted pre-sale tickets admission available at the Naperville Park District. Ribfest is an annual program presented in partnership with the Naperville Park District and the Exchange Club of Naperville.
