Meijer To Host In-Store Halloween Event At All Stores
Meijer is THE place families will shop for their Halloween needs because the costumes, candy and party décor are “Priced Right to Fright!” Families will be invited to join Meijer during an in-store “Halloween Factory Fun” event at all store locations on Saturday, October 30, 2010, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. There will be spooky crafts for kids, devilish treats and FREE giveaways including Halloween Trick-or-Treat bags, fun Squiggle bracelets, safety coloring books, and Meijer coloring crayons.

Let your kid’s imaginations run wild at the “Worm-wich” Craft Station. Create worm-filled sandwiches made from delicious Meijer grocery items including Meijer brand vanilla wafer cookies. Then, head over to the Witch’s Hat Ring Toss Station, as contestants try and throw three glow necklaces over the spooky witch’s hat! Each child that plays will receive a package of Halloween-themed Squiggle bracelets.

Learn safety tips and advice for the holiday season at the Family Safety Station. Participants will receive safety coloring books and coupon handouts as well as Meijer coloring crayons. Also, don’t forget to visit the yummy food sampling stations throughout each store to try the various spook-tacular treats including Meijer pizza and Meijer goblin juice!

And, if that’s not enough, enter Meijer’s Halloween Sweepstakes to win a trip to an Orlando Theme Park & Resort for a family of four to get SLIMED! This trip includes round trip airfare, four nights accommodation in a two-bedroom suite at the Nickelodeon resort and a private sliming for four!

During this fun-filled Halloween event, customers can also chime into a live radio remote as WLRW-FM makes a visit to the Meijer Champaign store, located at 2401 N Prospect Ave.
